The power of the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment and feedback exercises in a group setting for dating, engaged, married or mixed-stage couples.

The PREPARE/ENRICH Group Program format is adaptable and easy to implement in any type of couple group.  The Instructor provided Guides (PDF), the Couple’s Report – Group Edition, and the Instructor’s PowerPoint are the resources used to encourage discussion and effectively structure feedback to couples in a group setting.

A recent independent study found couples who participated in a PREPARE/ENRICH group program exhibited positive gains in knowledge, felt more confident in their relationship, engaged in more positive conflict management behaviors, and felt more satisfied with their relationship.  Plus, the benefits for those completing the group process were just as powerful as those who completed the feedback privately with a facilitator (Futris and colleagues, 2011).

Program Details & Resources

  • The Instructor will Guide the process and steps you need to be successful with the PREPARE/ENRICH Group Program. Each of the sessions includes an ice breaker, group discussion questions, teaching points, a couple exercise, guided wrap up questions, and closing suggestions.  The group may choose a handful of topics, or complete all ten sessions – it’s flexible and up to you to decide what will work best in your setting.
